British boxer Kash Ali (15-1, 7 KOs) has been handed a six-month ban and fined $13,000 for biting David Price en route to being disqualified in their fight when the pair met in Liverpool, England on March 30.

The incident happened during the fifth round when Ali lost his temper, tackled Price and sunk his teeth into his abdomen, as they tangled on the floor. As they got up from the mat, you could see the bite mark on Price's body.

Ali, a 27-year old heavyweight, did make a public apology after the fight saying, "I am hugely embarrassed for my actions and the way the whole fight unfolded."

Still, the disgraceful scene was more than enough for him to receive the lengthy ban.

Ali, who had his license suspended and his fight purse withdrawn, was also reprimanded by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) at a hearing on April 13 over his actions.
