Seniesa Estrada vs. Tina Rupprecht

  • Division/Weight: Minimumweight
  • Estrada record: 23-0
  • Rupprecht record: 12-0-1
  • Belts at stake: WBA and WBC minimumweight titles

A unification bout is the only additional main card bout that will air on ESPN programming. Seniesa Estrada, recently signing with Top Rank, faces Tina Rupprecht for the WBA, WBC, and Ring Magazine minimumweight titles.

Estrada (23-0) turned pro in 2011 and started her career fighting in her home of California. "Super Bad" won the interim WBA flyweight title against Marlen Esparza in 2019, and the WBA minimumweight title in 2021 against Anabel Ortiz. She has defended the latter belt twice.

The 30-year-old is in the record books for the fastest knockout in women's boxing history, taking out Miranda Adkins in seven seconds. With Bob Arum’s promotion following a run with Golden Boy, Estrada, with nine wins via knockout, is looking to become one of the most recognized names in women's boxing. Estrada's goal is to become undisputed at minimumweight, then do the same in other divisions.

“I want to give Tina credit for being a world champion who isn’t afraid of a unification fight, unlike Yokasta Valle,” Estrada said. “Since we couldn’t get Yokasta into the ring, we decided to do one better and fight the woman who beat her. The Fresno fans are passionate, and they are in for a great show.”

Rupprecht (12-0-1) turned pro in 2013. In 2017 she won the interim WBC minimumweight title against Anne Sophie Da Costa, and since being promoted, has defended the title six times. Her last fight was a unanimous decision win against Rocio Gaspar in December. The fight will be Rupprecht’s first in America, as she has primarily appeared in Germany.

“To fight in America against a fellow world champion in a world title unification is a dream come true for me,” Rupprecht said. “Seniesa is considered one of the sport’s best fighters, and I look forward to seeing who is the true number one in the division. This will be a Fight of the Year candidate and another huge night for female boxing. I’m going to be victorious and return to Germany with two world title belts.”
