Jake Paul is bringing his talents to Netflix as the streaming service enters the combat sports world to host Paul vs. the legendary Mike Tyson. The fight was meant for July 20, but a health scare on the part of Tyson delayed the fight to Friday, November 15.
Paul, 27, has fought against retired MMA fighters and NBA players in his short boxing career. The YouTuber lost against Tommy Fury to start 2023, his first contest against a legitimate boxer. “The Problem Child” then ended the year with a knockout win against boxer Andre August before beating Ryan Bourland via TKO in March.
Many critiqued the former Disney star's performance and opponent, stating he wasn’t facing anyone worth watching. Paul answered with the 57-year-old Tyson (turning 58 by fight night), one of the most feared men in boxing at one point.

“I want to see how hard he hits. Let’s see all the legends, the myths, because you’re Iron Mike Tyson, but I have an iron chin, people know that,” Paul said on the BS Podcast via Mirror. ”I take shots. I think people are underestimating me being able to deal with his power, and that’s something that’s going to make it interesting. I am biting off a lot. This is definitely the toughest, most savage, lethal opponent regardless of age, because the power is the last thing to go."
Known as "The Baddest Man on the Planet," Tyson turned pro in 1985. Tyson won 44 fights via vicious knockout shots. A former undisputed heavyweight champion, Tyson retired in 2005 with a loss against Kevin McBride. He returned to action in 2020 to face Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition fight.
