Combat sports rely on streaming platforms to thrive in this new era. Showtime and DAZN will look to hold the attention of a younger audience when promoting Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia on April 22. It comes after negotiations from both sides, including a meeting between Leonard Ellerbe and Golden Boy President Eric Gomez.

"Let’s hope this is the start of more cross-promoter, 'across the aisle' broadcaster collaboration. Boxing needs it,” DAZN EVP Joe Markowski stated when the fight was announced via Sports Business Journal.

The fight will be under the now-rare PPV format. All of Davis’ Showtime-produced main event fights have been through PPV. Garcia has not headlined a major PPV event until now.

How can you watch the fight on both platforms? Deciding between the two, what will it cost to watch the event? Here’s a full breakdown of Showtime and DAZN.
