The generational crossover fight is almost upon us. Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia face off at the T-Mobile Arena on April 22 and both knockout artists are ready to put on a show in Las Vegas.

The 136-pound catchweight fight airs on DAZN PPV and Showtime PPV in the U.S.

This fight is years in the making, with the two finally entering negotiations a few months ago. Questions surrounded the bout, especially regarding broadcasting rights and pay. The schedules of both fighters were also a factor. Once the stars aligned, the two kicked things into high gear at the pre-fight press conference.

“Ryan is gonna have to show me that he has more than just a left hook,” Davis said at the press conference. “I’m gonna be on point that night because I’m getting ready for the best Ryan Garcia. I just don’t feel that he’s a complete fighter, and come April 22, I’m gonna show him… I think he’s trying to hype himself to get into the fight when he talks about knocking me out in two rounds. I don’t think he really believes that."

Davis fought Hector Luis Garcia in January, beating him via ninth-round retirement. The Baltimore star is the reigning WBA regular lightweight champion although that title will not be on the line this Saturday. With 26 of his 28 wins coming via knockout, “Tank” is ready for the biggest fight of his career.

Garcia last fought in July 2022, when he halted former champ Javier Fortuna in six rounds. “King Ryan” has 19 wins via knockout and has only been tested by former Olympic champ Luke Campbell, who dropped the Californian before being stopped. With quick hands, Garcia is ready to out-punch Davis and earn the ultimate bragging rights.

“He’s going to nap time,” Garcia said during a media workout. “Nap time can be with either the right or the left. It doesn’t matter. I think he’s just terrified of the left hook. Once he hears that in his dreams, he just starts shaking in his boots. That’s a trigger word for him. Left hook. He just gets terrified of that.”

Before they face off in the ring, the two will look to psyche out the other one last time at a press conference. Will Davis be late to this one like he has been throughout the build to the fight? Will fists go flying? Here is all the information you need regarding how to view it and when you can tune in.
