If there is one thing Floyd Mayweather is known for, it is making a hefty profit in whatever he does. The “A-Side” a majority of his career, Mayweather has always been able to control the narrative. He has also been able to control how much he can make in a fight. 

Mayweather will once again be competing in an exhibition fight on September 24 (Sept. 25 in Australia). This time, he faces MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura. This will be his fourth exhibition fight since retiring 50-0 against Conor McGregor in 2017. He is expected to earn another nice payday from this bout. 

When asked by Sportsmail how much he'll be making, Mayweather wasn’t shy in sharing. 

“It's always a few million a minute,” Mayweather said. "From this exhibition alone I will be making somewhere upwards of $15-20 million. That's just from this exhibition. So, it's cool. Nine minutes, 20 million, not bad.”

Just to give an idea of how much he can make for the bout, Mayweather told ES News he made over $1.5 million to just appear at the introductory press conference. Mayweather told Fight Hype he earned $1 million just for attending a press conference for his bout against former training partner Don Moore.

All purses include pay-per-view shares. 

In the late 2010s, Mayweather was known to have a hefty purse.

Against Miguel Cotto in 2012, Mayweather made about $45 million, per The Sports Daily. Against Canelo Alvarez, he made about $73 million. His disclosed paycheck against McGregor was $100 million. 

In his bout against Tenshin Nasukawa, Mayweather reportedly made $9 million. In his exhibition fight against Logan Paul, Mayweather was guaranteed $10 million in base salary and 50 percent pay-per-view shares. Mayweather ended up bragging that he made $100 million.

Against Moore, Mayweather earned about 80% from pay-per-view sales. The estimated total is about $50-60 million.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Mayweather is worth around $450 million. His career earnings in and out of boxing have totaled up to about $1.1 billion.
