The rivalry between Canelo Alvarez and Gennadiy Golovkin has finally ended. On Sept. 17, Canelo beat Golovkin via unanimous decision in a one-sided affair. Or was it?

The trilogy fight was considered a few years too late. It also was considered controversial due to the nature of the scorecards. But the scorecards didn’t seem controversial through the eyes of The Sporting News' Andreas Hale, who saw Canelo’s punching output decrease during the fight.

Can we expect the same thing from Canelo when he fights next? After how he performed against GGG and Dmitry Bivol, has his stock gone down?

On this video episode of Fightin’ Words, Hale talks about the trilogy fight, as well as Canelo’s 2022 and beyond.
