Conor Benn is ready to make a name for himself in America when he faces Peter Dobson in a welterweight clash on February 3. The fight in Las Vegas and undercard action airs on DAZN worldwide.

Benn turned pro at 19 in 2016. The 27-year-old was on a roll and ready to fight Chris Eubank Jr. until he failed multiple drug tests after testing positive for clomifene. It was determined by the WBC the failed tests were a result of a “highly elevated consumption of eggs." UKAD suspended Benn from competing in the U.K. Benn has maintained his innocence and has looked to rebuild his career following a long layoff.

“The Destroyer” last fought in September, beating Rodolfo Orozco. As he bolsters his resume, Benn no longer wishes to worry about a fight against Eubank. His main goal is to fight for gold at 147, with Terence Crawford being the undisputed champion in the division.

“I think it’s a matter of time before I get that strap around my waist, but who knows what the future holds,” Benn told IFL TV via DAZN. “I’m on the hunt, I’m not going to get sidetracked by this or that. Legacy stands, money comes and goes. It’s something I’ve got to do. The big fights are what I want, and if I don’t have to come up to 160lbs, even better.”
