The Texas Rangers take a 2-1 lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks into Game 4 of the World Series tonight. First pitch is scheduled for 8:03 p.m. ET in Arizona.

We're taking a look at the latest World Series Game 4 odds and props, and have a prediction for the matchup, which features Andrew Heaney taking the mound for the Rangers, and Joe Mantiply for the Diamondbacks.

Per the updated series price, the Rangers are favorites to win 2023 Fall Classic. Although Rangers bettors must weight the impact of Adolis Garcia's injury.

Game 3 was a low-scoring affair Monday, with both teams failing to capitalize on several scoring opportunities. Rangers fans were no doubt happy with the result, even if they were worried when starter Max Scherzer left Game 3 after three innings with an injury.

The Rangers Game 3 win has kept them in control as the favorite to win the World Series. Here are the current best available odds for each team:

Texas Rangers betting news

Texas will give the ball to Andrew Heaney for Game 4. The left-handed pitcher has not had a good postseason as a starter. Heaney's last two appearances were as a reliever, where he has been much better. Heaney has not given up a run in his two relief appearances in 1.2 innings pitched.

Hopefully for the Rangers, those two appearances have helped Heaney get some of his mojo back, as he was pretty solid at times during the regular season. Heaney will likely be on a short leash on Tuesday night, although the Scherzer injury and this being the second of three straight nights of games makes bullpen management a little more difficult.

The Rangers likely need either Heaney or expected Game 5 starter Nathan Eovaldi to give them six-plus innings. That will be unlikely from Heaney, who has not thrown over 90 pitches since July and has not had a start where he pitched at least six innings since Aug. 1.

Unfortunately, the Rangers are dealing with more than just the Scherzer injury. Star outfielder Adolis Garcia left with an injury in Game 3 after he appeared to be in pain on a flyball out in the eighth inning. Scherzer is not scheduled to pitch again until Game 7 (if necessary). This means the Garcia injury is much more concerning, as it could have a massive impact on this series.

Garcia has been the best hitter in the playoffs for the Rangers. He's second on the team in batting average (.323), and leads team in slugging percentage (.726), RBIs (22) and home runs (eight).

Arizona Diamondbacks betting news

Game 3 was not Arizona's night, but the Cinderella of the MLB playoffs will not go away easily. If not for the third inning, Arizona would have been right there to win Game 3. Brandon Pfaadt had one bad inning but came back out and gave the Diamondbacks another solid 2.1 innings, not allowing any runs after giving up three in the third.

Unlike the Rangers, who had to go to a long reliever, Arizona got more out of their starter. Also, the Dbacks did not use any of their top three bullpen arms in Game 3, where Texas used all three of their top relievers. Last but not least, the Dbacks had no injury concerns after Game 3.

Joe Mantiply will be the starter on the mound in Game 4, and the reliever has been excellent in the playoffs in all but one appearance. Take away Mantiply's appearance in Game 2 of the NLCS when he gave up three runs, and he has not given up a run in any of his other seven appearances.

Starting Mantiply lets us know that Arizona is planning to opt for a bullpen game in Game 4 of the World Series. He started Game 4 of the NLCS and pitched a scoreless inning. It will be interesting to see if Arizona tries to get more than one inning from in on Tuesday night. The good news is that regardless of how far Mantiply goes, every bullpen arm should be available.

Texas Rangers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks prediction: Dbacks tie World Series up in Game 4

The Rangers have some question marks coming into game 4, and especially if star outfielder Adolis Garcia does not play, that will be a significant advantage for the DBacks.

That, coupled with the Arizona bullpen's top arms on full rest for Game 4 in a planned bullpen game for the Dbacks, there is a good chance Arizona ties the series up.

Pick: Arizona Diamondbacks
