The World Series is tied at a game apiece and now heads to Arizona for Games 3, 4 and 5. The first two games of the series were electric. Game 1 had a ninth-inning home run by the Rangers to force extra innings. The Rangers completed the comeback, winning with a walk-off in the 11th inning.

Here's a look at the latest World Series Game 3 odds and props, as well as a prediction.

In Game 2, the Dbacks made sure not to leave any margin for error or a chance for a Texas comeback, bashing their way to a 9-1 win to tie the World Series up. Arizona hosts Game 3 on Monday at Chase Field for an 8:03 p.m. ET first pitch.

The Rangers send Max Scherzer to the mound for his third playoff start. Scherzer was not good in his first start but was better in the second. Returning from injury in the playoffs is no easy task, but Rangers are hoping he will continue to get better with each appearance.

The Diamondbacks counter with Brandon Pfaadt, who is having the best stretch of starts in his career in the playoffs. Pfaadt has pitched four times in the postseason, and every single time Arizona has won. That included the NLCS Game 7 when Pfaadt went four innings and struck out seven.

The odds favored Texas to start the series and went even more in their favor after their Game 1 win. Arizona winning Game 2 has taken the odds closer, but the winner of Game 3 will become a big World Series favorite.

Texas Rangers betting news

The Rangers need to get better pitching to stay in this World Series. The team's offense saved them in Game 1. Arizona was putting up runs throughout Game 2, and the Rangers couldn't keep up. It is discouraging for the Rangers that they have allowed five and nine runs in the first two games of the World Series.

It is tough to expect the Rangers to expect to win the World Series if they continue to give up 5+ runs every game. With Max Scherzer on the mound in Game 3, there is hope; Scherzer is by far the most experienced playoff pitcher on the Texas staff. While he has not been his best in his first two playoff starts, it would surprise no one to see Scherzer have a vintage performance in Game 3.

The Rangers got out to an early lead in Game 1, but watched that lead disappear when the Dbacks scored five runs between the third and fifth inning. The Rangers waited until the very end of the game to do any more damage, as Corey Seager hit a game-tying two-run home run.

Adolis Garcia finished it with a walk-off solo home run in the 11th inning. There were no heroics in Game 2, as the Texas offense only scored one run in Game 2. The Rangers only had four hits and need to find a way to get back to that Game 1 offense, or it may be tough to have a chance in Game 3.

Arizona Diamondbacks betting news

Everything is looking good for Arizona as they have been dominating this World Series. The Dbacks should have won Game 1, but to bounce back and win Game 2 after the Game 1 disappointment shows just how strong this Arizona team is right now.

Arizona should be confident going into Game 3 with Pfaadt on the mound, as he pitched really well in his last three starts. During the playoffs, Pfaadt has a 2.70 ERA with 22 strikeouts in 16.2 innings pitched.

Combine that with the Arizona offense that has put 14 combined runs in Games 1 and 2, and it's clear the Dbacks are hot right now, regardless of their slip-up at the end of Game 1. Every single starter had at least one hit in Game 2. Arizona continues to be a great picture of team baseball.

The Diamondbacks need to continue to play their game, and even if they don't have the power pitching and home-run power that the Rangers have, it may not matter as the Dbacks are playing better baseball. A Game 3 win would put Arizona in control of this series and get them one step closer to hoisting the Commissioner's trophy.

World Series Game 3 prediction: Diamondback bats stay hot

Game 3 will likely get out to a slow start offense-wise. Expect Scherzer and Pfaadt to make it through the first few innings without giving up too much damage. Once the two teams turn it over to the bullpens, though, expect Arizona bats to deliver some fatal blows en route to a Game 3 win to take the lead in the World Series.

Pick: Diamondbacks
