New Orleans looked great in its opener, but you have to factor in the quality of opponent it faced. Until further notice, Carolina remains the worst team in the NFL, and the Saints took full advantage in a 47-10 rout that was never in doubt.
The Dallas defense -- led by do-it-all pass rusher Micah Parsons -- creates a a very different challenge. We're not expecting Saints QB Derek Carr to do much in the passing game, and fully expect New Orleans to employ a run-heavy approach that helps mitigate Parson's effect.
The Dallas offense just shredded a tough Cleveland defense for 33 points. Expect something similar here in a game where Dak Prescott goes off after signing the NFL's richest-ever contract. Prescott eclipsed 256.5 passing yards in seven of eight home games last season.
Dallas is a different beast at home, where it was 6-3 ATS as a favorite a season ago. Final score prediction: Dallas 31, New Orleans 17.

After getting thoroughly embarrassed in the season opener at New Orleans, the Panthers found out they'd lost stud DL Derrick Brown for the season due to a knee injury. Sheesh.
Not a believer in curses, but this team has been somehow doomed since David Tepper took over as owner in 2018. If the 2024 opener was any indication, that trend will continue for another season.
J.K. Dobbins was a revelation for Los Angeles with 135 rushing yards and one TD in a win over Las Vegas. Jim Harbaugh is likely to employ a run-first approach again that benefits Dobbins, and opens up some deep shots for QB Justin Herbert.
Dobbins scored in the red zone last week, and we expect him to do so again in a game where San Diego covers ATS and the Panthers struggle to score. Carolina's scored a total of 10 points in its last three games dating back to last season, and those all came in last week's ugly loss at New Orleans.
