Look-ahead lines for Week 7 of the 2023 NFL season

Look-ahead lines can often provide value on favorites that will be laying more points when the game kicks off. Public money typically gravitates toward favorites in the days leading up to the game.

Here are NFL Week 7 look-ahead lines for the top matchups on the slate.

Dolphins (4-1 SU, 4-1 ATS) vs. Eagles (5-0 SU, 3-1-1 ATS)

This is the game of the week and it should have a playoff feel on Sunday Night Football. Philadelphia has a chance to be the NFL's final undefeated team for a second straight season, but Miami is standing in its way.

The Dolphins lost rookie RB De'Von Achane to a knee injury, but they still have plenty of offensive firepower. The Dolphins lead the NFL in scoring at 36.2 points per game. Tua Tagovailoa is tied for second among all quarterbacks with 11 passing TDs on the season.

Jalen Hurts & Co. haven't looked as dominant as last year when they reeled off eight straight wins to start the season. The Eagles will be playing their third game at home vs. the Dolphins. Philly eked by Washington, 34-31, in its last game at Lincoln Financial Field.

Miami represents the toughest test for Philadelphia, which is looking for a statement win against one of the AFC's best teams.

Chargers (2-2 SU, 2-2 ATS) vs. Chiefs (4-1 SU, 4-1 ATS)

The Chiefs opened the season with a home loss to Detroit, but they've rebounded with four straight wins straight-up (SU) and against the spread (ATS). Much to the chagrin of Los Angeles, Kansas City owns the AFC West after winning the division title seven straight years. It looks like eight is a real possibility, but the Chargers might have a say in that.

Los Angeles has bounced back from an 0-2 start by winning its last two games against the Vikings and Raiders. The Chargers should also have RB Austin Ekeler back in the lineup, as he's slated to return from an ankle injury in Week 6 against Dallas.

The Chiefs swept the season series against the Chargers last year, but both games were entertaining and close. KC won 27-24 at home and then 30-27 at L.A.

Lions (4-1 SU, 4-1 ATS) vs. Ravens (3-2 SU, 3-2 ATS)

Detroit appears to be for real through five weeks of the 2023 NFL season. The Lions started the season with a 21-20 road win over the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs. Detroit, among the best NFL teams ATS this year, is coming off a convincing 42-24 win as a 9.5-point favorite over Carolina.

The Ravens will be coming off their international game against the Titans in London. Baltimore opted not to have a bye week before returning to action at home, but that hasn't hindered NFL teams as much as many think.
