As we head into NFL Week 5, the Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers stand alone as the only unbeaten teams in the league. Top sports betting apps are offering odds on the Eagles and 49ers to be the last undefeated NFL team this season.

We know one thing for sure: The AFC will not have an undefeated team after the Bills shellacked the Dolphins, 48-20, on Sunday. The Eagles are bidding to become the NFL's final undefeated team for the second straight season. Philadelphia started 8-0 last year.

Who will be the last team standing this time around?

Odds on NFL's final team to be undefeated

Here are live betting odds on the last NFL team to be undefeated at top-rated sportsbooks.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles were pushed to the brink in a 34-31 OT win over the Commanders Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field. Philadelphia's eight-game winning streak to start last season was snapped by Washington.

The Eagles are the betting favorite over the 49ers based on their upcoming schedules. Philadelphia () travels to Los Angeles to face the Rams, and then travels back across the country to face the winless Jets on the road. Philly is favored by points in that game.

A potential Super Bowl preview looms in Week 7 when the Eagles return home to host the Dolphins. Philadelphia hasn't looked as dominant this year versus last, but Jalen Hurts & Co. are still the betting favorite to become the NFL's last undefeated team for the second straight year.

San Francisco 49ers

You can make a convincing case for the 49ers as being the NFL's most complete team.

San Francisco's defense is tied for third in the NFL in points allowed per game (14.5). Christian McCaffrey is making his own case to become MVP. CMC put the San Fran offense on his back with four TDs in a 35-16 home win over Arizona on Sunday. He's already amassed seven total TDs on the young season.

Arizona throttled then unbeaten Dallas, 28-16, the week prior to that. Who's up next for the 49ers? Those same Cowboys, who rebounded nicely in a 38-3 romp over the Patriots.

It's not just McCaffrey that the Dallas defense will have to account for on Sunday. Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, and George Kittle give QB Brock Purdy three explosive weapons through the air. The 49ers utilize Samuel regularly in the running game, too.

San Francisco is a point favorite against Dallas. Looking ahead, the 49ers will then face the Browns and Vikings on the road. They are short favorites in both games on look-ahead lines.

How to bet: In a previous installment, we advised backing the winner of Cowboys-49ers this week as the NFL's last undefeated team. Dallas laid an egg at Arizona, so we won't have a battle of unbeatens on Sunday Night Football. Still, consider taking San Francisco to beat the Cowboys and outlast the Eagles to be the NFL's final undefeated team this season. Philadelphia has looked mortal, and the Eagles will face a resurgent Rams team on the road Sunday. Plus, you're getting more attractive odds on the 49ers.

Perfect season odds on any NFL team to go 17-0

What about the odds on any NFL team to go undefeated in the 2023 regular season? Bet365 is dealing +800 on "Yes" and -1400 on "No" for that bet.

This is not a bet you should expect to win much less bet at +800! It's happened just four times in NFL history with the Bears posting the first two undefeated seasons back in the 1930s and 1940s, respectively.

The Patriots are the most recent NFL team to run run the table in the regular season. In 2007, New England finished 16-0 and reached the Super Bowl before losing as a 12.5-point favorite against the Giants, 17-14.

The Dolphins remain the only team to go undefeated during the regular season and playoffs. Members of Miami's Super Bowl-winning team in 1972 celebrate the accomplishment with a champagne toast when the league's final unbeaten team goes down each year.

How to bet: Pass. We're not laying that amount of juice on "No" and +800 is not nearly enough value to make a play on "Yes" given the parity that exists in the NFL these days.
