NFL DFS picks for SNF: Bears vs. Texans
Here are our recommended DFS plays for Bears vs. Texans:
C.J. Stroud 268.5 passing yards: LOWER
Houston put up 29 points in its opening win over Indianapolis, but Stroud threw for just 234 yards. Joe Mixon (see more below) was a beast on the ground with 150+ rushing yards.
Stroud failed to eclipse this number in more games (9 vs. 8) in the regular season last year. The Bears limited Titans QB Will Levis to 127 passing yards, and picked him off twice in their season-opening win.
That said, Stroud has more weapons at his disposal in Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins, Tank Dell, Dalton Schultz and Mixon. We're still riding on the UNDER on 268.5 passing yards for Stroud on SNF.
Joe Mixon 66.5 rushing yards: HIGHER
The former Bengal made a smashing debut for his new squad with 159 yards rushing and a TD on the ground. This is a week-to-week league, but this total doesn't seem like a big ask for Mixon against the Bears.
Tennessee's Tony Pollard finished with 80+ rushing yards last week against the Titans. Despite going OVER this number in just seven regular season games last year, we're banking on Mixon to show up big for the second time in as many weeks.
Caleb Williams 218.5 passing yards: LOWER
Williams is coming off a historically bad performance in his debut. He finished with 93 passing yards and no TDs.
The Texans only allowed Anthony Richardson to throw for 212 yards -- and more than half of those came on 54- and 60-yard TD throws.
Williams has several key weapons at the WR position with DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, and Rome Odunze. But it might take some time for the rookie to settle in at quarterback with Chicago's offense.
We're taking a wait-and-see approach on Williams, and rolling with him to go lower than 218.5 passing yards on SNF.
