Peruse NFL Week 3 betting lines, and you'll find a point spread that jumps off whatever electronic screen happens to be in front of you.

One of the biggest spreads of the young season features a double-digit home dog in the Arizona Cardinals , who will host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. That's the biggest number on this week's board along with Bears vs. Chiefs.

Cowboys vs. Cardinals betting odds for NFL Week 3

The Cardinals have now lost nine straight games dating back to last season. There's a victory out there somewhere, but it more resembles a mirage in the desert that surrounds State Farm Stadium and the NFL's most downtrodden team.

It's not a victory that's likely to come against the Cowboys, who look bullet-proof after destroying the Giants and Jets by a combined score of 70-10.

This is the NFL, though, and surprises seemingly happen every week. As bad as Arizona appears to be, there's no denying the fact the Cardinals are 2-0 against the spread (ATS) this year. If you backed them both weeks, congrats, as you were rewarded with a bigger stack of greenbacks.

Triple-dog dare us to go ahead and bet the Cardinals on the spread again? Only 10% of BetMGM's handle for Cowboys-Cardinals is on Arizona +12.5.

How about the last time the Cardinals were a double-digit dog? That was the final game of the 2022 NFL season when Arizona (+14.5) went to San Francisco and got waxed, 38-13.

Super Bowl odds gap builds between Cardinals & Cowboys

Our friends at BetMGM are dealing the Cardinals as a +100000 shot to win Super Bowl 58. After just two weeks of play, the Cardinals have gone from +25000 to the longest of longshots. The Texans check in next at +75000.

The funny thing (unless you're a Cardinals fan) is Arizona had a chance to win both of its games. Think about it. Folks who picked the Commanders and Giants in survivor pools were made to sweat until the Cardinals gave them late-game reprieves. Bad teams find a way to lose, though, even when they cover the spread.

The Cowboys are among the betting favorites to stand as the last undefeated team this season. The Cardinals are the betting favorite in a more dubious betting market.

Meanwhile, Dallas is surging up Super Bowl odds boards at top-rated sportsbooks. The Cowboys (+750) are now the third betting favorite at BetMGM, trailing only the 49ers (+600) and Chiefs (+600). Dallas opened the season as a +1400 bid behind five other teams.

Here's a look at live Super Bowl odds for all 32 NFL teams.
