The Los Angeles Chargers try to get their season back on track in Sunday's AFC West showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Kickoff is set for 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS, and we have the latest Chargers vs. Chiefs odds and props, plus predictions, for the game.
Most of the country will get this game in Sunday's late afternoon window, and it will be appointment viewing based on the most recent meetings between these two teams.
The Chiefs swept the season series last year, but both games were decided by a field goal. This is a pivotal game for the Chargers, who dropped a tough 20-17 decision to the Cowboys on Monday Night Football.
Los Angeles (2-3 SU, 2-3 ATS) needs to stay within shouting distance of Kansas City (5-1 SU, 4-2 ATS) in the AFC West standings, and an upset win on the road would be a step in the right direction.

Check out the latest live NFL betting odds for Chargers vs. Chiefs:
The Chargers have dropped three straight games to the Chiefs dating back to 2021, and 15 of the last 18 in head-to-head meetings.
Los Angeles is a road underdog for the first time this season. The Chargers, who were 3-1 ATS in that role a year ago, covered as a 4-point underdog in a 27-24 loss in their last trip to Arrowhead. They've covered five out of their last six as a road dog.
The Chiefs are well rested after their "mini-bye" following a lackluster 19-8 win over the Broncos on Thursday Night Football. The Chargers are operating on a short week after the disappointing loss to Dallas on MNF.

Chargers betting news
Patrick Mahomes is likely salivating about the prospect of facing L.A.'s porous pass defense. The Chargers rank last in the NFL and allow 289 passing yards per game. Dak Prescott threw for 271 yards and a TD -- and also ran for a score -- against the Chargers on Monday night.
Chargers QB Justin Herbert faced a barrage of criticism after the loss to the Cowboys. The good news is Herbert has excelled in games at Arrowhead Stadium. He went off with 334 yards and three TDs in last year's 27-24 loss.
Herbert, who is 2-0 in his other Arrowhead appearances, combined for 585 yards and seven TDs in those road wins. He's only thrown one interception in his three starts at Arrowhead.
Kansas City brings a blitz-heavy approach on defense into this contest, and that could play to Herbert's advantage. Seven of his nine TD passes have come against the blitz this season. Take a look at what Herbert did against the Vikings and their blitz earlier this year:
Justin Herbert completed 32 of 38 passes against the blitz for 307 yards & 3 TD.

Primary target Keenan Allen found the end zone again against Dallas, scoring the game's first TD and his fourth of the season. Austin Ekeler's return to the lineup didn't result in any TDs, but he had one of his NFL-best 18 TDs last season in the most recent game between the Chargers and Chiefs.
Chiefs betting news
The Chiefs are gunning for their eighth straight division title in the AFC West. That's just silly good. Kansas City carries a clear advantage on defense into Sunday's game, but the offense hasn't been quite as prolific yet this season.
Herbert and Mahomes tend to bring out the best in each other, though, and that could translate to some serious points against L.A.'s leaky defense. Meanwhile, K.C.'s defense yields only 14.7 points per game, ranking second to only San Francisco (14.5).
Kansas City's defensive unit has allowed 21 or fewer points in every game this season, and it's the only NFL defense to accomplish that feat.
On offense, TE Travis Kelce remains the top receiving threat, as he leads the Chiefs with 346 yards and three TDs. But Mahomes, more than any quarterback in the league, spreads the wealth in his passing attack. There is no big-name WR anymore with Tyreek Hill in Miami, but Mahomes has hit seven different players for TDs this season:
- Travis Kelce (3)
- Rashee Rice (2)
- Jerick McKinnon (2)
- Noah Gray (1)
- Skyy Moore (1)
- Kadarius Toney (1)
- Blake Bell (1)
The forecast calls for plenty of points on Sunday.

Chargers vs. Chiefs predictions
The Chargers are bringing a knife to a gun fight on defense here, but expect plenty of points from both sides. Herbert is a magician against the blitz, and K.C. uses it close to 40% of the time.
The Chiefs were constipated with 19 points against the Broncos last time out. Andy Reid should have them firing on all cylinders after an extended rest here versus the Chargers.
