The betting public feasted on Turkey Day to kick off a sports-centric Thanksgiving weekend. Could they keep things going as the weekend progressed?
Each Monday, we'll discuss the weekend that was with Phill Gray, head of trading for Sports Interaction, breaking down the most notable results and whether they went in favor of the house or the bettors.
Week 12 NFL Betting Action Report
Public rakes in on Thanksgiving
Thursday's NFL games resulted in the worst day of the NFL season for Sports Interaction. Despite favorites going 1-2 against the spread (ATS losses by the Bills and Cowboys), all three favorites won straight up, cashing the public's parlays, teasers, and player props. It's also never going to be too profitable of a day for the book when all the games go over the total, as they did on Thanksgiving.
While the Bills and Cowboys wins were rough for the book, Sports Interaction had a glimmer of hope entering the nightcap. SI needed the Patriots (+2.5) to notch a road cover against the heavily bet Vikings, but a lackluster performance from the Patriots' special teams led to the Vikings notching a 33-26 win.

Book gets some of it back on Sunday
Despite a brutal Thanksgiving for Sports Interaction, Sunday's NFL slate was a better overall result. The public heavily backed Tom Brady and Tampa Bay (-3) laying a short spread on the road in Cleveland. Tampa Bay looked as if they were on its way toward a third straight win, but a late game-saving one-handed catch by David Njoku forced overtime.

Cleveland's eventual 23-17 overtime win over Tampa Bay was the biggest win for the book in Week 12. According to Gray, "Line opened and held on +3 never giving the hook and +3.5 to Cleveland, public overwhelmingly on Tampa Bay for the points and the side."
Sports Interaction fared well in two other noon kickoffs, cashing in on the Panthers' (PK) 23-10 home win over the Broncos and the Jaguars' (+3) come-from-behind win over the Ravens. The Broncos and Ravens were two of the public's favorite plays of the weekend.

To finish off the Sunday slate, the Philadelphia Eagles (-6.5) notched a cover over the Green Bay Packers in an offensive showcase on SNF.
According to Gray, "Spread didn’t get to -7 on this one as I thought it might have. Late support for the Packers kept it off the key number of seven but the Eagles were involved in a number of parlays with the Chiefs, Dolphins, and Commanders.... all winners."
Following Aaron Rodgers' exit, backup QB Jordan Love gave Packers bettors hope. Love led the Packers to a touchdown drive in his first series, and had the chance to cut the margin from 10 to three in the latter stages of the game. Green Bay ended up settling for a field goal with 1:11 remaining to cut the deficit to 40-33.
Philadelphia's win and cover resulted in Sports Interaction's lone significant loss on Sunday.
Colts-Steelers Monday Night Football betting odds
In tonight's Colts-Steelers Monday Night Football matchup, the Colts opened up as three-point home favorites but have been bet down to -2.5.
According to Gray, "50/50 split action at this point. Liability is heavily bet on OVER 39.5. Expect some movement there closer to game time."
The Game: Michigan trounces Ohio State
Saturday's de facto Big Ten East Championship game went the way of the Wolverines for a second straight season, as Jim Harbaugh's bunch blew out the Buckeyes, 45-23.

Saturday's rendition of "The Game" was the most-bet college game of the season. While Gray expected the Wolverines to attract money, Ohio State moved from -8 to -9 before kick. 65 percent of the money and tickets were bet on the Buckeyes, as the Wolverines' victory resulted in another win for Sports Interaction.
World Cup Sunday: Canada-Croatia
The Canadian men's national team was back in action on Sunday, opening up as +330 underdogs and closing at +235 due to garner 80 percent of the action.
According to Gray, "Alphonso Davies (+1200) for First Goal Scorer was unfortunately the only bright side for the Canadian betting public on this one."
Canada's 4-1 loss to Croatia eliminated them from knockout-round contention.
