The Arizona Wildcats are huge favorites over the Oregon State Beavers, who have the home-court advantage for Pac-12 after-dark basketball action. Oregon State had a solid start to the season, but the start of Pac-12 play has not been good for the Beavers. They only have one conference win and have six conference losses, including the last five in a row.

The Wildcats are much stronger, with a 5-2 record in conference play and riding a two-game winning streak. The strong start to conference play has not resulted in many good results against the spread. Arizona is 12-6 ATS but has not covered in their last three contests. The Beavers have a 7-11 ATS record and have covered four of their first five in conference play, but they have not covered in either of their last two matchups.

Here is the Arizona at Oregon State betting news, player props and a betting prediction for tonight's Pac-12 matchup. The game tips off at 9 p.m. on Pac-12 Network.

Arizona Wildcats betting news

Arizona started the season strong and reached the No. 1 ranking before a few losses, exploiting some of the Wildcats' weaknesses. At their best, they are an elite team ranking eighth for offense and fifth for defense on Kenpom for adjusted efficiency. They also play at a breakneck pace with the 12th-ranked adjusted tempo in all of college hoops.

The Wildcats' weaknesses are their inefficient guard play and struggling in late-game situations. Arizona is 3-3 in six games decided by single digits. Their leading scorer, Caleb Love, averages 18.2 PPG but only shoots 43.1% from the field and 33.3% from three. He can hit shots no one else on the Arizona roster can, but that often leads to too many heat-check shots that miss more often than not.

The same goes for one of his backcourt mates, Kylan Boswell, who shoots 39.8% from the field while averaging just 10.1 PPG. Their other three players averaging in double figures, Pelle Larson (12.9 PPG), Oumar Ballo (12.7 PPG) and Keshad Johnson (11.4 PPG), are much more efficient as each shoots 54% or better from the field. The Wildcats have not lost a game when a player other than Caleb Love leads the team in scoring.

Oregon State Beavers betting news

The Beavers desperately need a win, and an upset at home against Arizona could be the momentum-building win their program needs. Oregon State has lost five in a row, but the first three were by less than 10 points. The last two defeats have been by over 20 points, and the Beavers seem to be spiraling.

Oregon State can't blame injuries or suspensions for their struggles. Simply put, they have played much closer to their floor than their ceiling. There is hope, however, as their best two players are sophomores and are getting better each game. It may not be enough to be an NCAA Tournament-level team this season, but they are solid building blocks for the future.

Jordan Pope, a 6-foot-2 guard, leads the team in scoring at 17 PPG, and 6-foot-9 forward Tyler Bilodeau (12.7 PPG, 5.6 RPG) is second in points and rebounding. Each player has had multiple 20-plus point performances this season. To keep it close with Arizona, both will need to have season-best performances, and even then it will be a challenge to beat the top 10-ranked Wildcats.

Arizona at Oregon State prediction: Wildcats run away from the Beavers in Corvallis

Arizona is one of only two teams in the nation in the top 10 of Kenpom's offensive and defensive adjusted efficiency rankings. Oregon State does not rank in the top 150 of either category, and they are 303rd for adjusted tempo. Even though the spread is large, the pace of play difference between the two teams will give the Wildcats a significant advantage. Even on the road, Arizona should win this one by 20-plus.
