The 49ers and Seahawks face off to kick off NFL Week 6, and here we analyze best bets, player props and anytime TD scorers for the Thursday Night Football contest.
Most bettors would be lying if they told you they thought the 49ers (2-3) would have a losing record five weeks into the season, and/or that they’d lose at home last week (24-23 to the Cardinals). The latter holds true for the NFC West-leading Seahawks (3-2), who most thought would make quick work of the Giants sans Malik Nabers.
One blocked field goal returned for a TD and one week later, San Francisco visits Seattle in hopes to reclaim a stake in first place in the division.
While it is hard it is to predict who will win this tilt, there are some great Week 6 TNF props at top NFL betting sites to peruse, and there’s no time like the present to start strategizing. Let’s review some playmakers for both squads and consider who is worthy of best bets and anytime TD scorer wagers.
Noah Fant Anytime TD Scorer
Don’t ask how the Seahawks TE1 has made it to Week 6 without possessing the football in the end zone. Instead, ask how much longer this anomaly can continue. In what will likely be a pass-heavy game script, it stands to reason that Geno Smith will look Fant’s way in hopes of getting him off the schneid and throw a touchdown pass his way. With odds like this, it’s certainly worth considering.

Brandon Aiyuk Anytime TD Scorer
QB Brock Purdy’s 19/35/244 stat line last week, with one TD and two INTs, didn’t help the 49ers avoid taking the L vs. Arizona last week, but that doesn’t mean San Francisco will be slinging the rock any less this week. Brandon Aiyuk notched 8 catches for 147 yards in Week 5 sans a TD. He and George Kittle were each targeted a dozen times, and something similar will probably be the case tonight. If you’re feeling saucy, consider pairing an Anytime TD Scorer parlay bet featuring Aiyuk and Kittle, or Aiyuk and the always-dangerous Deebo Samuel.
DK Metcalf OVER 4.5 Receptions
DK has been targeted 19 times in the past two weeks, although Seattle has lost both those games. Look for Metcalf’s stat line to be closer to his Week 4 mark vs. Detroit, where he went for 12 catches and 104 yards, than his surprisingly low total in Week 5 vs. the G Men. The Seahawks desperately want to avoid dropping a third straight game, and their offensive gameplan should feature this pass catcher prominently.
Jordan Mason OVER 1.5 Receptions
No one knows if or when we’ll see CMC in the San Francisco backfield again, and until that takes place Jordan Mason will lead the way. McCaffrey’s injury hasn’t caused the Niners to rush the ball any less, as they’re third in the league in attempts so far this season. Nobody expects Mason to replicate CMC’s production, but 7 catches through the first 5 weeks of 2024 feels a bit light. Mason has caught 7 of the 8 balls thrown his way, and with Seattle likely to employ a variety of big blitz packages to keep Purdy from having tons of time to find receivers, we might see Mason make more than one catch on TNF.
