49ers vs. Eagles player props odds, picks: Hurts, McCaffrey, and Aiyuk look to swing critical NFC battle

Two NFC powerhouses face off in a rematch of last year's NFC Championship Game, as the San Francisco 49ers take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon. A healthy menu of 49ers vs. Eagles player props offers bountiful wagering opportunity for sports bettors.

The 8-3 49ers hope that a healthy Brock Purdy will be the difference. With Purdy sidelined with an elbow injury in the first quarter, Philadelphia won last season's conference title game by a decisive 31-7 margin. The 10-1 Eagles want to prove to oddsmakers they deserve to be the home favorite instead of being point underdogs.

The OVER/UNDER sits at , a surprisingly high total for two stellar defenses. Expect the playmakers to show off in a game that could swing the race for the NFC's No. 1 seed.

Best 49ers vs. Eagles anytime TD scorer props include Jalen Hurts, Christian McCaffrey

With the high total, oddsmakers expect these teams to reach paydirt often. Here are anytime TD scorer odds from top sports betting apps:

One way to get a decent price on a McCaffrey touchdown prop is to risk him being the game's first scorer. Our odds take a huge jump on this bet, and considering San Francisco's reliance on their star, it's a worthwhile trade-off.

San Francisco boasts the third-highest-scoring offensive in the NFL, producing 310 points on 666 plays. McCaffrey has a whopping 16 total touchdowns and 1,328 yards already. The only game he hasn't scored in came in Week 10's beatdown of Jacksonville.

Expect another heavy involvement of McCaffrey, as Kyle Shanahan looks to keep Brock Purdy clean. Already averaging 21.9 touches a game, McCaffrey will be the focal point of a 49ers offense that has to start fast to win.

The "tush push" might be the most effective and ridiculous play in the NFL right now, and no one runs it better than Hurts. The physical quarterback doesn't have the most impressive passing numbers over the last two games, but he remains masterful at situational football. He's five passing touchdowns away from a new career-high in a season and needs only three rushing scores to break last year's mark of 13.

Hurts is rushing less often this year to keep his body fresh for when it matters most. Games like this are when an offense will go all-out. San Francisco's No. 2-ranked run defense will have its hands full with the Eagles' offensive line, as the unit obliterated them in last year's playoffs. A Hurts rushing TD is guaranteed if the Eagles take care of business in the trenches as they did in January.

49ers vs. Eagles player props & odds: Brandon Aiyuk joins D'Andre Swift as best bets

While both QBs are looking at lofty passing yards totals, playmakers from both teams present interesting prop bet opportunities.

49ers vs. Eagles passing props

49ers vs. Eagles props pick: Brandon Aiyuk OVER receiving yards

The most surprising fact about the 2023 Eagles is their defensive struggles. A juggernaut in 2022, Philadelphia's passing defense has been subpar this season. The Eagles rank dead last in fantasy points allowed to receivers, 29th in passing yards allowed, and 31st in passing touchdowns allowed.

The 49ers can't just rely on McCaffrey to be effective. Leading receiver Brandon Aiyuk is being slept on a little with Deebo Samuel back on the field, and that's a mistake by oddsmakers. Averaging 88.1 yards per game and facing an aging, slow secondary, Aiyuk is in prime position to be the difference-maker of the matchup.

In three career games against the Eagles, Aiyuk has only four receptions for 34 yards. Look for him to have those totals before halftime.

49ers vs. Eagles props pick: D'Andre Swift OVER rushing yards

We could easily take either A.J. Brown or Smith as a prop pick, but predicting which one will succeed more in any given week is difficult. Instead, we're returning to the trench play being the difference in player props hitting. D'Andre Swift has a low rushing yards total set for him, as he averages 70 yards per game on the ground.

San Francisco added former Eagles tackle Javon Hargrave to steady the unit after being obliterated by Philly, and this is when the signing will pay off. However, Swift has exceeded this total in all but two games since Week 1. The Eagles feed him a high number of touches regardless of his efficiency, which is key here.
