Premier League to move transfer deadline day
The 23-year-old took a step towards making his first appearance when he started working with his team-mates on Monday during their training camp in Catalonia.
City are set to take on newly-promoted La Liga side Girona in a friendly on Tuesday.
Mendy signed a six-year contract with City when he joined from Monaco, having made 39 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 champions.
