Just imagine how an in-his-prime Tiger Woods would have done if there had been Olympic golf.
Alas, this year marked golf's first appearance in the Olympics since 1904. Great Britain's Justin Rose captured the gold Sunday in a thrilling duel with Sweden's Henrik Stenson. Team USA's Matt Kuchar shot a medal-round 63 to win the bronze.
And Woods was quick to tweet out kudos, not just for the medalists, but all those who participated.
Thrilled for Rosie, Henrik & Kuch, but all golfers in Rio this week should be proud.

Woods, who hasn't played since August 2015 and has undergone two surgeries on his back since then, has not set a timetable for his return to the sport.
Golf suffered from a ton of bad press leading into Rio, with big-name dropouts and Zika concerns, but many in the game have to be pleased with results from the weekend.
