Day 2 in Rio brought a big day for the U.S. in gymnastics and swimming. Gymnast Simone Biles posted the highest score of any competitor on three of the four events during qualifying. In the pool, Katie Ledecky set a world record in the women's 400-meter freestyle and Michael Phelps won his 19th career gold medal during the men's 4x100-meter freestyle relay.
