A bus transporting members of the media Tuesday at the Rio Games was pelted by rocks rather than hit by bullets, police said Wednesday.
Two people suffered minor injuries when windows of the bus were shattered as it traveled toward the Barra Olympic Park from Deodoro.

It was reported that the damage had either been caused by bullets or rocks, and Rio 2016 organizers said on Wednesday that it was the latter.
A statement from Rio's civil police said: "According to information from the 42nd police precinct in Recreio dos Bandeirantes it was established that police procedures and investigations are underway to determine the damage suffered by a bus that provides services for the Games Rio 2016.
"The driver reported yesterday at the police station when he was traveling the expressway Transolimpica at the time of Curicica neighbourhood, the vehicle was hit by stones."
On Saturday a bullet landed at the feet of photographers at Rio's equestrian venue, with security forces concluding that the missile was fired at a police blimp from a local community.
A controlled explosion also was carried out Saturday on a suspect package close to the finish line of the men's cycling road race.
