What a round of Champions League football that was. Bayern put Arsenal to the sword, Leicester beat favoured Sevilla, Monaco and Manchester City played a game of “who can defend the worst”, and Barcelona completed one of, if not the most remarkable comeback in the history of this competition. Here are the top Fantasy Football performers from the second legs of the last 16 ties.

GK: Kasper Schmeichel – Leicester City – 1 Game, 1 Penalty Save, 2 Saves, 1 Clean Sheet = 13 Points

Kasper Schmeichel Wilfred Ndidi Wes Morgan Leicester City

DF: Wes Morgan – Leicester City – 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Clean Sheet = 14 Points

This Leicester performance was shocking to most fans, and especially to Premier League fans who have seen them put up one of the weakest title defences in years. Put all of that to side though as the Foxes continue to impress in Europe’s top competition. Captain Morgan - hence the celebration - scored the opening goal and solidified things at the back to guarantee at least one English team will move on to the quarter finals.

DF: Sergio Ramos – Real Madrid – 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Assist, 1 Goal Conceded = 11 Points

DF: Erik Durm – Borussia Dortmund – 1 Game, 1 Assist, 1 Clean Sheet = 10 Points

DF: Marcel Schmelzer – Borussia Dortmund – 1 Game, 1 Assist, 1 Clean Sheet = 10 Points

MF: Arturo Vidal – Bayern Munich – 1 Game, 2 Goals = 14 Points

MF: Christian Pulisic – Borussia Dortmund – 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Assist = 11 Points

His performances have never been the issue, it’s the inconsistency in minutes that has led to many people not buying in on the young American. Fortunately, in our format, squads do not lock until kick off so in future, check Dortmund’s XI when teams are announced and, if Pulisic is in it, you should definitely consider adding him to your team.

MF: Douglas Costa -  Bayern Munich – 1 Substitute Appearance – 1 Goal, 1 Assist = 10 Points

Neymar Barcelona PSG Champions League

FWD: Neymar – Barcelona – 1 Game, 2 Goals, 2 Assists = 18 Points

Neymar has had a “disappointing” year compared to expectations, but every fan had to know that he had this in him. Paris Saint-Germain came out looking to score instead of defend and, boy did that go poorly. The Brazilian torched Unai Emery’s defence to the tune of two goals and two assists, making him our player of the week.

FWD: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Borussia Dortmund – 1 Game, 3 Goals = 17 Points

Aubameyang was easily the best call from our preview article. His form in the Bundesliga had been incredible and it was only a matter of time before that form translated into Champions League success. His pace and finishing ability should make him ownable in the next round regardless of opponent.

FWD: Luis Suarez – Barcelona – 1 Game, 1 Goal, 1 Assist = 10 Points
