Arsenal team news: Giroud and Wilshere start against West Ham image

Olivier Giroud and Jack Wilshere both make the starting line-up as a much-changed Arsenal team take on West Ham.

The France international is included as the Gunners' solitary centre-forward against the Hammers, with Alexandre Lacazette dropped to the bench.

Wilshere also gets the nod in midfield, to make his first Premier League start of the season.

It is almost two years since Wilshere lined up from kick-off in a league match for the Gunners, as injury and a loan spell with Bournemouth have kept him out of contention.

In all Arsene Wenger makes four changes from the side that drew 1-1 with Southampton at the weekend.

As well as Giroud and Wilshere, 20-year-old Ainsley Maitland-Niles comes in to the first team ahead of Sead Kolasinac.

Alex Iwobi also enters the starting XI in place of Aaron Ramsey, while Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez provide some familiar faces for the visiting fans as they line up in this London derby.

West Ham: Adrian; Zabaleta, Reid, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Noble, Obiang, Arnautovic, Lanzini, Masuaku, Antonio. Subs: Hart, Rice, Collins, Ayew, Carroll, Sakho, Chicharito.

Arsenal: Cech; Bellerin, Koscielny, Monreal, Maitland-Niles; Iwobi, Xhaka, Wilshere; Ozil, Alexis; Giroud. Subs: Ospina, Chambers, Kolasinac, Coquelin, Elneny, Welbeck, Lacazette.
