Asia's secondary club competition has witnessed another bout of games on Wednesday with ten clubs taking to the field. If you missed any of the action, we have the roundup right here from all five games on the day.

GROUP E (SOUTH ZONE):

MOHUN BAGAN 0-1 MAZIYA S&RC [Umair 34']

Maziya celebrate win over Mohun Bagan

I-League leaders Mohun Bagan saw their AFC Cup dreams suffer a significant blow after falling to a 0-1 home defeat against Maldives' Maziya S&RC at the Rabindra Sarovar stadium in Kolkata.

Mohun Bagan, who have an important game to play on the domestic front this weekend, opted to field a weakened XI against Maziya and paid the ultimate price for it. The Maldives club took the lead in the 34th minute, capitalising on some slack defending by the Indian team. Ali Samooh saw a pass fall to Mohamed Umair and he went on to surge into the area and slotted the ball in the far corner.

REPORT: Mohun Bagan 0-1 Maziya

Though Bagan tried to get a goal back, their strikers were profligate. Despite Maziya being down to 10 men in the 80th minute when Milos Kovacevic was sent off for a second bookable offence, Bagan could not find an equaliser. The win moves Maziya to second place in the group with six points from three games, Mohun Bagan are down to third with just three points. Bengaluru FC have the lead in the group with nine points in their kitty.

GROUP F (ASEAN ZONE):

BEOUNGKET ANGKOR 0-3 JOHOR DARUL TA'ZIM  [Rasid 8' Mansor 26' Guerra 90+2']

Magwe v JDT

Malaysian side Johor Darul Ta'zim remained in the hunt for the group winners spot by easing past Cambodian side Beoungket Angkor 3-0 away at Phnom Penh.

The former champions began the game in earnest fashion and got the lead in the eighth minute when Safawi Rashid latched on to a delightful through ball from Nazmi Faiz Mansor before rounding the keeper and placing it into the net. Soon after, Nazmi Faiz Mansor doubled Johor's lead after the Beoungket 'keeper came out to clear a through ball for Rashid but ended up giving it away to Mansor who then placed a finish into the open net over the goalkeeper.

REPORT: Beoungket Angkor 0-3 JDT

Though Johor would spurn a chance to go 3-0 up before half-time when Azamuddin Akil missed a penalty, their Argentine striker Gabriel Guerra found the back of the net deep in stoppage time after he found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper on a counter. The result leaves Johor two points shy of Group leaders Global FC with one game to go while Beoungket Angkor have been eliminated.

MAGWE FC 2-4 GLOBAL FC [Naing 38' Tun 90+4' - Minegishi 71' Roberts 81', 83' Sasaki 89']

A commanding second-half performance from Philippine side Global FC saw them defeat Magwe FC 4-2 away on Wednesday and maintain their two-point advantage over Johor Darul Ta'zim in the group.

It was the hosts who led at half-time in Yangon after winger Kyaw Naing Naing received a cross from the right on the edge of the box before sending a low finish into the bottom corner. However, Global FC responded in a manner befitting a side in fantastic form in the second-half. It was Hikaru Minegishi who got the equaliser in the 71st minute after volleying home a weak parry from the Magwe goalkeeper. A rejuvenated Global then went two goals in the space of two minutes with Darryl Roberts bagging a brace. In the 81st minute, he raced clear of the Magwe defence and slid a neat finish past the goalkeeper before side-footing home a cutback from the left wing two minutes later.

AFC Cup: Home United qualify for ASEAN playoffs

It looked like Shu Sasaki had rounded off the scoring in the 89th minute with Global's fourth goal with a brilliant chip after dispossessing a defender but Naing Lin Tun grabbed a consolation for Magwe as the game finished 4-2 in favour of the visitors.

GROUP G:

FELDA UTD 1-3 TAMPINES ROVERS [Idlan 51' - Dzoni 29' Amri 68', 72']

Felda v Tampines Rovers

Singapore's Tampines Rovers gave themselves an outside chance of winning Group G by downing Malaysia's Felda United 1-3 away in Jengka in Malaysia. The result complicated the qualifying scenarios in the group as well with all four teams separated by just three points.

It was the visitors who drew first blood on the night with Ivan Dzoni after Felda defender Mootaz Jounaidi gave the ball away to Yasir Hanapi in a dangerous area and the striker found Dzoni who only had to guide the ball home from close range. However, Felda equalised after the break through Norshahrul Idlan who capitalised on a loose ball inside the area and got a shot away from the byline but it unbelievably squirmed in off the far post.

But the response from Tampines Rovers was as swift as it was decisive. Khairul Amri first volleyed a spectacular pass over the defence to give his side the lead before sliding to meet Ryutaro Megumi's accurate low cross from the right wing in the 72nd minute which sealed the result.

Felda are now back in fourth place with five points from five games while Tampines Rovers are third with six points. If the Singapore side can beat Ceres Negros in the next round and Hanoi fall to Felda United, they will qualify.

CERES NEGROS 6-2 HANOI FC [Maranon 13', 90' Ingreso 21' Fernando 53', 69' de Jong 87' - Luong 25' Dung 86']

Ceres Negros v Hanoi

Philippine side Ceres Negros stormed back to the top of Group G by demolishing Hanoi FC 6-2 at home in Bacolod City. It was a thoroughly clinical performance by the home team, aided by braces from Bienvenido Maranon and Fernando.

Maranon opened the scoring in the 13th minute for Ceres with a penalty before Kevin Ingreso doubled their advantage with a scorching strike from the edge of the area on the left wing. Though Hanoi FC got a goal back four minutes later through Pham Thanh Luong who curled in a sumptuous freekick from the edge of the area, it only proved them some respite ahead of the carnage in the second half.

Ceres striker Fernando scored his team's third goal in the 53rd minute with an opportunistic strike from outside the area which caught the goalkeeper off his line. Things went from bad to worse for the Vietnamese side just past the hour mark when Hoang Vu Samson was shown a direct red card for headbutting a Ceres player. Fernando rubbed more salt into the wounds by making the score read 4-1 in the 69th minute by running onto a through ball and slotting it past the advancing goalkeeper.

There was a flurry of goals late on as Do Hung Dung made it 4-2 with a penalty before Jason de Jong and Maranon again added goals in the final three minutes to complete a headline result. Ceres Negros and Hanoi now have eight points each from five games with one more game to go in the group.
