Team World arrived at the Laver Cup 2022 targeting a first win in any of the five editions so far, an underdog victory on the basis of world rankings and the chance to be the villains of Roger Federer's swansong.

Sporting icon Federer announced last week that the showpiece in London — which is an ATP event envisaged as a tennis version of the Ryder Cup in golf — will be his last competitive tournament.

Federer has been ranked no lower than third on his previous three appearances at the Laver Cup, but the injury-imposed inactivity that has hastened the end of the 41-year-old's career means he did not have a ranking as he joined the likes of world number two Casper Ruud and number three Rafael Nadal in Team Europe.

The Swiss great bowed out of the professional game during day one of the 2022 tournament, losing a thrilling doubles match alongside Nadal against Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe.

Here's when and how to watch the Laver Cup 2022, who's playing and how to buy tickets.
