There will be plenty on the line when Karen Khachanov and Stefanos Tsitsipas face off in their Australian Open semi-final.

Neither player has reached the final at Melbourne Park before, so we can expect an exciting affair.

Tsitsipas has bowed out at the semi-final stage three times before at the Australian Open, so can he finally go one step further in 2023?

Or will Khachanov achieve a career-best result at a Grand Slam and reach his maiden major final?

The Sporting News has all the details you need to make your punting decisions.

Karen Khachanov vs Stefanos Tsitsipas form and betting trends

It is no major surprise that the bookmakers have rated Tsitsipas as the favourite for this clash.

The world No. 4 holds a rankings advantage over his opponent and is more experienced in high-stakes Grand Slam matches.

Tsitsipas has won all but one of his matches in straight sets this tournament, with the one exception being a five-set thriller against Jannik Sinner.

However, it is worth noting that Sinner is the only seeded player the Greek has faced so far.

Khachanov, the tournament's 18th seed, is therefore set to challenge a fairly untested Tsitsipas.

The 26-year-old went relatively under the radar to begin, before his impressive four-set win over promising American Frances Tiafoe saw him make headlines.

He then pummelled Yoshihito Nishioka in the fourth round before his quarter-final opponent, Sebastian Korda, withdrew through injury midway through the third set.

Both Tsitsipas and Khachanov should come into their semi-final well-rested, in a match that has the potential to go the distance.

Karen Khachanov vs Stefanos Tsitsipas head-to-head results

Khachanov and Tsitsipas have played each other on five occasions.

Karen Khachanov vs Stefanos Tsitsipas preview and prediction

Whilst there is a clear betting favourite, this match is unlikely to be a blowout.

Khachanov is coming off a semi-final at the US Open last year and has asserted his dominance in every match so far at the Australian Open.

His big serve - which sees him making powerful first serves and surprisingly quick second serves - will be key.

He also has the edge when it comes to pure strength and power of groundstrokes.

However, he will have to overcome Tsitsipas' well-rounded playing style and athleticism.

The Greek is in searing form, and his experience playing important games will put him in good stead against a less-experienced opponent.

Tsitsipas' perfect head-to-head record against Khachanov is also very encouraging.

Prediction: Tsitsipas in four sets.
