Tottenham Hotspur desperately need to get back to winning ways when they host Leeds in the Premier League this weekend, following a run of three defeats in their last four matches.

Antonio Conte's men are fourth in the table after losing 2-1 at home to Liverpool. And another defeat against Leeds could allow fifth-placed Manchester United to draw level with Spurs on points.

Leeds come into the game on a high, having won their last two Premier League fixtures against Liverpool and Bournemouth.

Jesse Marsch's side tend to perform at their best against the division's dominant teams, and Conte must be wary of the Yorkshire side's high-energy approach play under the American coach.

Tottenham vs. Leeds lineups

Antonio Conte will hope Brazilian forward Richarlison can play some part in the game against Leeds after he returned to training following a calf injury, but Son Heung-min will miss the game due to a fracture around his left eye. Son is expected to regain fitness in time to play for South Korea at the World Cup. Left-back Ryan Sessegnon is also unavailable due to injury.

Conte also said that Dejan Kulusevski could be in contention but added: "We have another training session before we decide about the starting XI."

Tottenham predicted lineup (5-3-2): Lloris (GK) — Sessegnon, Davies, Lenglet, Dier, Emerson — Hojbjerg, Bissouma, Bentancur — Perisic, Kane.

A fresh injury for Patrick Bamford kept him out of Leeds' dramatic 4-3 win over Bournemouth and  Marsch is unlikely to be able to call upon his number nine for the trip to North London. Dutch winger Crysensio Summerville – who scored the winner against The Cherries – will be hopeful of keeping his place in the Leeds starting line-up.

Leeds predicted lineup (4-2-3–1): Meslier (GK) — Struijk, Cooper, Koch, Kristensen — Roca, Adams — Summerville, Aaronson, Harrison – Rodrigo.

Tottenham vs. Leeds betting odds, prediction

Tottenham boss Conte is in a tough position as he heads into this game, needing a result to keep his side in the Champions League positions, but knowing that attacking Leeds is a dangerous endeavour that left Chelsea and Liverpool unstuck earlier this term.

Marsch's team have struggled for consistency, especially away from home, but in their 2-1 win against Liverpool at Anfield they showed their tendency to enjoy playing in the spaces that the Premier League's more adventurous teams leave open.

Prediction: The past five meetings between these two sides have seen Tottenham win three and Leeds two, and Leeds' away record this season is poor. Tottenham have only kept one clean sheet in their previous five home games in the Premier League while Leeds have conceded 10 goals in their last five league matches home and away. Goals at both ends look likely, and Tottenham's strikeforce is the more deadly on its day.

A 2-1 victory for the hosts would calm nerves around Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and heap the pressure on Marsch going into the World Cup break.
