Rugby Union comes to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London as the star-studded Barbarians take on a team of All Blacks bolters, all of whom are hoping to be amongst the runners and riders in New Zealand's squad ahead of next year's World Cup.
While the Baa-Baas are yet to play this autumn, the All Blacks XV have already enjoyed a run-out defeating Ireland's 'A' side 47-19 at the RDS Arena in Dublin. Eight capped New Zealand players make up their squad, with centre Braydon Ennor scoring a try and fly-half Damian McKenzie kicking 12 points, as well as crossing for a five-pointer of his own last time out.
We’ve had some monumental battles over the years & it’s always a classic when we meet 🥳🤩

The mid-year tests in July saw the Barbarians win two games from two, beating England 52-21 at Twickenham before heading to the Spanish city of Gijon, where they beat hosts Spain 26-7. Being an invitational side, this Barbarians group looks entirely different to the one they fielded in the summer, but no matter how inconsistent the lineups, the X-factor on show is always a guarantee.
While getting past the Baa-Baas will be no mean feat, almost every player in the New Zealand side will be wanting to impress the higher-ups in this game. Players such as Shaun Stevenson, who scored a brace against Ireland 'A', remain overlooked by the All Blacks proper, and so the Chiefs winger and his team-mates will be out to force themselves into the fold.

Barbarians vs. All Blacks XV lineups
While there are plenty of capped New Zealand internationals in the All Blacks' XV, there's also a number of Kiwis in this Baa-Baas side who have donned the black jersey. Rugby World Cup winner Tawera Kerr-Barlow starts at scrum-half, providing for a backline also featuring recent New Zealand Test winger George Bridge, as well as former Maori All Blacks captain Charlie Ngatai.
The side are captained by Luke Whitelock, younger brother of All Blacks captain Sam, with the evergreen Joe Marler at loosehead prop and Zach Mercer, one of the form No.8s in Europe, at the base of the scrum and hoping to boost his England chances.

Against Ireland 'A', the All Blacks XV used a centre partnership that had started for the New Zealand Test side a week prior against Japan. They experiment more for this match, with Alex Nankivell and Levi Aumua donning the 12 and 13 jerseys respectively in place of Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Braydon Ennor. They'll make up the midfield of another exciting back-line, with Stevenson shifting to full-back and destructive winger Leicester Fainga'anuku, who has been capped twice by New Zealand this year, starting on the wing.
It's surely only a matter of time before Damian McKenzie gets back into the first-choice All Blacks fold, having lit up last weekend's match in Dublin, scoring 17 of the XV's 47 points on his own. He once again starts in the fly-half berth for this game, alongside Brad Weber, who came off the bench for New Zealand against Wales in Cardiff. Forty-three-cap All Black Patrick Tuipulotu captains the side at lock.
All Blacks XV: Shaun Stevenson, Bryce Heem, Levi Aumua, Alex Nankivell, Leicester Fainga'anuku, Damian McKenzie, Brad Weber; Aidan Ross, Brodie McAllister, Tamaiti Williams, Josh Dickson, Patrick Tuipulotu, Dominic Gardiner, Tom Christie, Luke Jacobson
All Blacks XV Replacements: Andrew Makalio, Finlay Brewis, Pouri Rakete-Stones, Zach Gallagher, Christian Lio-Willie, Cortez Ratima, Josh Ioane, Bailyn Sullivan
