Former Super League player Jack Johnson has suffered one of the most eye-watering injuries in rugby league.
The 23-year-old, who currently plays for Newcastle Thunder in the RFL Championship, took to social media to reveal his left testicle had 'exploded' while training during the week.
Johnson subsequently required surgery to remove the testicle but managed to see the lighter side of the whole incident.
"What a load of BOLLOCKS. Not my greatest Thursday ever, with the old testicle exploding at training," Johnson revealed on Twitter.
"Had it removed last night. Will be back soon just a little bit lighter... And as the saying goes RL wins again xx.
"P.S does the swelling stay asking for a friend."
Asked to explain what he meant by exploded, Johnson added some more gruesome details: "Ruptured it, when they took it out said it looked like a cracked egg."

Johnson previously spent four years on the books of Super League club Warrington Wolves and made his debut for the side as a 16-year-old.
Earlier this season, New Zealand Warriors five-eighth Chanel Harris-Tavita suffered a ruptured testicle while playing in the NRL against Melbourne Storm.
Remarkably, Harris-Tavita played another 45 minutes with the injury, making a further eight tackles in a 70-10 thrashing on ANZAC Day.
The Samoa international ultimately required surgery and was sidelined for a number of weeks.
Tyson Frizell suffered a similar injury in 2019 playing for the Dragons and admitted it was one of the worst he's had.
“It’s not one of the nicest injuries I’ve had in my time. I’ve come across a few injuries in my time and this one was definitely up there," Frizell told Fox Sports at the time.
“It’s an injury I wouldn’t wish upon anyone."
