Erling Haaland is no stranger to smashing goal-scoring records and the Manchester City striker broke an 87-year international benchmark for his country on Thursday.
Haaland captains Norway for their two UEFA Nations League games at home to Slovenia on October 10, and away in Austria three days later.
Martin Odegaard's injury has left the Nordic nation without their leader and Haaland has taken the armband for the first time in his career.

The 24-year-old signed off for the international break with 11 goals scored for Pep Guardiola's team so far this season across all competitions.
He will be looking to build on that form with Norway, after scoring five international goals since the start of 2024, with his Norway tally standing at 32 goals from 35 games prior to these fixtures. His incredible consistency in front of goal for Norway has seen him rocket up their all-time scorer list to within one of record-holder Jorgen Juve.
He drew level with Juve he struck after just seven minutes on Thursday's game against Slovenia. Early in the second half, he got his second and Norway's third to move into outright first place in their all-time men's standings.

Juve's 33-goal record had remained in place since 1937, with John Carew and former Manchester United striker-turned-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failing to catch him.
