Arne Slot has confirmed Liverpool will not make January transfer move for Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi.
The Reds failed in their long-running summer push for the Euro 2024 winner after weeks of speculation linking him with a switch to Merseyside.
The Spain international was highlighted as Slot's No.1 midfield target with the Dutch boss admitting the club missed out in their attempt to lure him to Anfield.

Fresh reports from Spain have indicated the situation could be revived with Zubimendi frustrated over La Real's start to the season.
The departures of Robin Le Normand and Mikel Merino has heavily impacted the squad with Zubimendi now rumoured to be considering his original call.
Slot was asked about his stance on the 25-year-old, ahead of Liverpool's 3-0 Premier League win over Bournemouth, and he firmly rejected another offer.
"There is no point talking about Zubimendi anymore because he stayed with Real Sociedad and we’ve moved on and we are really happy with Ryan Gravenberch", he said.
Liverpool returned to winning ways with victory over Andoni Iraola's Cherries and they take on West Ham United in the Carabao Cup Third Round in September 25.
