The NHL playoffs are set to start on Monday. It marks the beginning of one of the most exciting times in the sports year, with 16 teams battling for the Stanley Cup.
However, there is still more hockey to be played. Well, one more game anyway.
While the official end to the regular season was supposed to be on Friday, April 29, the Jets and Kraken are playing Sunday. The two teams were supposed to meet earlier in April, however the game was rescheduled by the NHL.
The playoff picture is set, but these two teams have to get in their 82nd game of the season. The Kraken are finishing up their first season in the NHL, which was a disappointing one for Seattle fans. In Winnipeg, the team underperformed and missed the playoffs for the first time since 2017.

Why are the Jets and Kraken playing a game after the end of the regular season?
The two Western Conference teams were scheduled to meet in Winnipeg on April 13 for their third and final meeting of the season.
However, a snow storm predicted to be "the worst blizzard in decades" by The Weather Channel was in the forecast ahead of the game and the NHL decided it was in their best interest to reschedule the game.

As a result, the Kraken went home after their game on April 12 in Calgary with a game in Seattle against the Devils on April 16. The Jets were able to travel out of Winnipeg for their April 15 game against the Panthers before the storm hit.
What time is the Jets-Kraken game?
The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg.
How can I watch the Jets-Kraken game?
Viewers can stream the game on ESPN+ in the United States.
In Canada, viewers can see the game live on TSN3. It also can be streamed on TSN.ca and the TSN app.
Does the game have any effects on the postseason?
Nope. Both teams had previously been eliminated from the postseason so there is no impact on the playoffs.
The game does have an impact on the final standings and therefore, so implications on the NHL draft. The Kraken have the third-highest odds at the No. 1 pick, but a win would mean they pass the Flyers in points, dropping their odds to the fourth-best.
