The Jaguars' long-awaited return to London fell way short of expectations. Jacksonville — which has seemingly served as the United Kingdom's surrogate NFL franchise for much of the past decade — limped through a dour showing against the Bears, falling 35-19 for to drop to 1-5 on the year.
It was a performance to forget for Doug Pederson's side, which struggled to create much of anything underneath the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium lights. QB Trevor Lawrence had flits of brilliance. But he also toiled at different points, launching en errant effort into Chicago's grasp and helming a unit which recorded just three points until the 6:02 mark of the third quarter.
Lawrence's struggles — and the wider problems that swallowed the offense which he spearheads — came to a head deep in the fourth, when the $275 million man abruptly exited the game without an explanation.

Here's what you need to know about Lawrence's sudden departure.
Did Trevor Lawrence get benched vs. Bears?
Lawrence didn't finish Sunday's matchup against the Bears, being supplanted by backup Mac Jones in the game's final moments, likely due to the game's score, and not Lawrence's performance.
He wasn't the only one to suffer such a fate, however. With Chicago clinging to a three score advantage and just 3:20 left on the clock, head coach Doug Pederson opted to see what backups like Jones and tailback D'Ernest Johnson had to offer.
Trevor Lawrence stats
- Comp-Att: 23-35 (65.7%)
- Pass Yds: 234
- Pass TDs: 2
- INTs: 1
Lawrence was solid, if unspectacular, against the Bears, tallying 234 yards and two scores on 23-of-35 passing. He was at times felled by poor pass-catching — Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas Jr. saw potential touchdowns slip through their hands.
However, Lawrence wasn't infallible, struggling at times with ball placement while matched up against Chicago's impressive secondary.
