Travis Kelce: Game show host?
The Chiefs star is locked and loaded for his 12th NFL season in the fall, but in the meantime, he's coming to Amazon Prime as the face of a celebrity game show inspired by "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?"
Kelce is set to host "Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?" on Amazon Prime, a game show intended to be a spinoff of the former Fox hit. No release date has been revealed.
"Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" originally aired from 2007-11 with comedian Jeff Foxworthy as the host. It was briefly revived in both 2015 and 2019. Now, Amazon Prime is taking a different approach to the concept with the help of one of the most recognizable athletes in America.
"I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with 'Are you Smarter than a Celebrity,' Kelce said in a statement announcing the news.

The series is set to last 20 episodes, with prizes worth up to $100,000 for contestants. Contestants will be asked elementary school-level questions and have the ability to seek help from various celebrities.
Kelce added that he's "happy to be on the hosting side of the equation," rather than answering the questions.
It's been a scholarly month for Kelce, who graduated from the University of Cincinnati long ago but didn't receive his physical diploma alongside his brother until April 11. While Kelce won't be on the spot as part of his hosting duties, the show might be an educational experience for everyone involved.
Hosting a game show is a totally new experience for Kelce, but there's zero doubt he has the personality to do well in front of a camera — enough to make "Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?" worth a watch.
