Tom Brady's next act has a lot to live up to.

The recently retired quarterback is hanging up the cleats and stepping up to the microphone in the near future, with Brady set to join the Fox NFL team in 2024.

While Brady has excelled at anything he's done on a football field, that's not a guarantee that he's going to be good at the whole broadcasting thing. Fox, though, seems to believe he will be, if the paycheck they're signing off on is any indicator.

In 2022, the network inked Brady to a decade-long deal that is going to set him up for years to come. To give you an idea of how much that is: If Brady sees every cent of the contract, then he'll surpass the money that he made in his NFL career.

Sorry, Greg Olsen — but at least he has another year at the top desk.

Here's what the quarterback will be making as the lead color commentator for Fox:

Tom Brady Fox contract

At the time of Brady's signing in 2022, the New York Post's Andrew Marchand reports that Brady is set to make $375 million over 10 years, or $37.5 million per year. With Brady jumping to the broadcast booth in 2024, that deal will run through the 2033 NFL season.

Front Office Sports' Mike McCarthy originally reported that Brady was set to make "well over $20 million per season" as Fox's lead NFL analyst, a fact that came true after the specifics were revealed.

That $37.5 million number surpasses the reported contract totals of both Troy Aikman and Tony Romo combined, who are two of the highest-paid color analysts in the TV game today. Both former NFL quarterbacks are making $18 million per season, reports indicate, essentially getting paid on a per-game basis.

Romo signed a 10-year deal with CBS in early 2020 (total contract value at $180 million), which followed his original contract he signed with the network in 2017.

When Aikman made the jump from Fox to ESPN earlier this year alongside long-time running mate Joe Buck, he inked a five-year deal ($90 million in total) with the network.

Brady's reported deal isn't just big-time money for an analyst, it's also starting quarterback money for active players. On average annual value, that $37.5 million mark would rank inside the top-10 of highest-paid QBs in the NFL today, ahead of Kirk Cousin's $35 million mark.

Tom Brady career earnings

According to Spotrac, Tom Brady has signed $332,962,392 worth of contracts throughout his career. That includes his prior contracts with the Patriots, contract extensions and the deals he signed with the Buccaneers.

So, Brady is officially set to earn more as an analyst in 10 years than he did as a player, which spanned 23 seasons.

A semi-interesting note: While Brady's career earnings sits well into nine figures, he never signed a nine-figure contract extension, whether it was with the Patriots or the Buccaneers. That makes the 10-year, $375 million deal he signed with Fox the only contract he's ever signed that features a nine-figure total.

Tom Brady net worth

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Brady is currently worth around $250 million dollars. That takes into account Brady's past contracts with the Buccaneers and Patriots, and all of his off-the-field business and endorsement ventures.

For comparison, Brady's ex-wife Gisele Bundchen, an international supermodel, is worth around $400 million.
