Teddy Bridgewater has spent the 2022 NFL season on the sideline while Tua Tagovailoa has quarterbacked the Dolphins to a 2-0 start. On Thursday, he was on another sideline developing another football talent.
Bridgewater drew up a play for his high school alma mater, Miami Northwestern Senior, during its clash against Columbus.
Bridgewater gathered the players in front of the bench and, after spending some time trying to call over a player named Elijah — possibly Elijah Hardy — he began to illustrate the play on the white board.

It wasn't an easy game for the Bulls. Their starting quarterback was injured and they were playing an undefeated opponent. They led for most of the game, but Columbus scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter and then held on to win 23-19.

Bridgewater was a four-star recruit coming out of Miami Northwestern, according to 247Sports' Composite Rankings, and was the No. 98 national prospect in the 2011 clash. He was the fifth-ranked dual-threat QB nationally and 19th-best prospect in the state of Florida.
According to MaxPreps, he finished his high school career with 5,277 passing yards, a 65.3 completion percentage, 55 passing touchdowns and 14 interceptions, while rushing 180 times for 891 yards and scoring 13 more times on the ground. Most of that was compiled across his junior and senior years.
Plenty of quarterbacks have made the jump from playing to coaching once their careers end. Bridgewater might be testing whether that could eventually be his next step.
