Packers vs. Buccaneers WR injury updates: How Chris Godwin, others impact depleted depth charts for Week 3 image

When you tune in to Packers vs. Buccaneers on Sunday, you may not be all that familiar with the players catching footballs from two all-time great quarterbacks.

Both Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady are expected to be without some of their primary targets. The wide receiver injury report for Sunday's contest is . . . quite long.

The Packers are coming off their first win of the season in Week 2 after getting blown out in Week 1. They'll look to continue their momentum in a similar fashion as in the 2021 season. Last year, Green Bay lost its opener and then rattled off seven consecutive wins.

The Buccaneers are one of six remaining undefeated teams in the NFL, but Brady hasn't been his usual self with a majority of his weapons unavailable for the first two games.

What will each team's wide receiver depth chart look like in relation to this week's injury report? The Sporting News has you covered.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday that Cobb is likely to play, but Watson probably will sit out.

Romeo Doubs, Amari Rodgers and Samori Toure are all in line to receive more snaps in the depleted receiving corps.

Buccaneers' Week 3 injury report

The Buccaneers had five wide receivers on the injury report this week, and four of them remain on the report heading into Sunday. It's also worth noting that Brady's No. 1 receiver, Mike Evans, will serve a one-game suspension Sunday for his role in a brawl at New Orleans in Week 2.

Buccaneers WR depth chart

Chris Godwin is the only Buccaneers wide receiver who has been ruled out for Sunday. Julio Jones, Russell Gage and Breshad Perriman are all questionable. Scotty Miller will be available.

Adam Schefter reports Gage and Perriman are expected to be able to go, while the veteran Jones will test out his knee in pregame warmups before determining his status.

It is also worth noting that Tampa Bay signed veteran slot receiver Cole Beasley to the practice squad, and there's a chance he'll be elevated to the 53-man roster for Sunday's game to give Brady an additional target. Tampa Bay signed Kaylon Geiger off its practice squad Wednesday.

Rank First Second
1 Julio Jones (Questionable) Jaelon Darden
2 Breshad Perriman (Questionable) Kaylon Geiger
3 Russell Gage (Questionable) Scotty Miller
