NFL picks, predictions and odds for Week 2

*Odds correct as of September 17

  • Cincinnati Bengals vs. Baltimore Ravens

TSN prediction: Bengals to win 10/17 (BetOnSports)

The Bengals got off to the worst possible start just three days after making Joe Burrow the highest-paid player in the NFL after signing a five-year, $275 million extension that includes $219.01 million guaranteed. They were beaten 24-3 in rainy conditions by the Cleveland Browns.

The Baltimore Ravens easily overcame the Houston Texans in Week 1 but lost starting running back JK Dobbins for the rest of the season due to tearing his Achilles.

After passing for a career-worst 82 yards, it's difficult to see that ever happening again to Burrow let alone in successive weeks. We fully expect the Bengals to bounce back and get their season up and running.

  • Atlanta Falcons vs. Green Bay Packers

TSN prediction: Packers to win 23/20 (BetOnSports)

The Packers put on a show against NFC North rivals Chicago Bears on Sunday as they came out victorious 38-20. Jordan Love showed great promise, even though it was against a poor Bears defence.

What they did especially well was get to Bears quarterback Justin Fields and we believe they can do even better against Desmond Ridder. They'll need to watch out for rookie running back Bijan Robinson who had one of the most impressive first-career touchdowns that you’ll ever see.

  • Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts

TSN prediction: Colts to win 20/21 (BetOnSports)

The Colts fought incredibly hard against the Jacksonville Jaguars and narrowly missed out on a Week 1 win as they lost 31-21. A late fourth-quarter collapse allowed the Jags to score two touchdowns and win the game but rookie QB Anthony Richardson showed he can lead this offense.

Houston struggled with their rookie QB CJ Stroud and only had one play surpassing 20 yards against the Ravens. It could be a tight game but one that feels as though the Colts are better equipped to take the win.

  • Tennessee Titans vs. Los Angeles Chargers

TSN prediction: Chargers to win 20/29 (BetOnSports)

Justin Herbert and the Chargers fell victim to a sensational performance by Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins. Herbert's offense played well and the defence should expect a much easier afternoon against Ryan Tannehill who threw three picks in their loss to the New Orleans Saints.

One disclaimer is star running back Austin Ekeler suffered a slight injury to his ankle and it's unclear how that will affect him in Week 2. The positive is that his backup Joshua Kelly had 16 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown.

All in all, this should be a relatively simple matchup for the Chargers to get their first win of the year.

  • Las Vegas Raiders vs. Buffalo Bills

TSN prediction: Bills to win 4/17 (BetOnSports)

The only person who will not want to rewatch Monday Night Football more than Aaron Rodgers is Josh Allen. He threw three interceptions in the Bills' overtime loss to the New York Jets.

If Allen can quickly put his performance behind him, the Bills should cruise to victory over a Raiders side that looked mediocre even though they got an important AFC West win over the Denver Broncos.

  • Detroit Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks

TSN prediction: Lions to win 5/11 (BetOnSports)

Dan Campbell and his Detroit Lions stunned the nation on the opening night of the season when they went into Kansas City and upset the Chiefs. Without looking explosive, they were solid overall in what was an epic team performance.

In what will be their home opener against a Seahawks side that got beat up by the LA Rams, the Lions haven't started a season 2-0 since 2017 but will go into this one with immense confidence as optimism surrounding their season grows. Ford Field will be rocking.
