It's going to be a long few months for NFL fans. The league that notoriously stays in the headlines year-round is set to enter its quietest period of the year before training camp ramps up in late July for all 32 teams. The release of the full 2023 schedule will at least give fans something to hold onto until the action begins.

One of the last major dates on the offseason calendar before on-field activity begins, the schedule release sets a date for all of the premier matchups we'll see during the regular season and gives fans a sense of what's to come on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and everything in between. The 2023 schedule will even feature a game on Black Friday.
Whether you're looking for the date of the Super Bowl 57 rematch or Aaron Rodgers' matchups with Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen in his new Jets uniform, the schedule release will have all of the answers.
Here's what you need to know about when the schedule will come out.

When does the NFL schedule come out?
- Date: Thursday, May 11
- Time: 8 p.m. ET
The 2023 NFL schedule will be released on Thursday, May 11. Unlike most major events on the NFL calendar, the NFL doesn't set a date for the schedule release until days before it occurs.
All 32 teams will release their schedule near the start of the reveal show. Also included in the reveal will be holiday games and all prime time games with the exception of the Week 18 "Sunday Night Football" game, which will be flexed into that slot after Week 17.
Notably, "Monday Night Football" games in December and January can now be flexed out of the prime time slot along with certain "Sunday Night Football" games, so not all of the late-season prime time matchups included in the schedule reveal are guaranteed to stay in those slots.
