Playoffs? Yeah, we're talking about playoffs.

The 2023 NFL regular season wrapped up action on Sunday, solidifying the field for the 2024 NFL Playoffs.

Entering Sunday's slate, two playoff spots were remaining in both the AFC and NFC. In addition, the winners of the AFC East, AFC South, NFC East and NFC South had yet to be determined.

The Bills claimed the AFC East with a win over the Dolphins, while the Texans claimed the AFC South with the Jaguars' loss to the Titans. The Cowboys won the NFC East with a win over the Commanders and the Buccaneers won the NFC South with a win over the Panthers.

The Steelers also jumped into the final AFC Wild Card spot with Jacksonville's loss, while the Packers snagged the final NFC Wild Card spot with a win over the Bears.

This season has been an exciting one, with the field seemingly more open than ever. Outside of the No. 1 seeds in each conference, the Ravens and the 49ers, there aren't any clear-cut favorites to emerge on either side, setting up what should be an intriguing postseason.

When do the NFL playoffs start in 2024?

  • Wild-card round: Jan. 13-15
  • Divisional round: Jan. 20-21
  • Conference championships: Jan. 28
  • Super Bowl 58: Feb. 11

For the fourth straight season, 14 different teams will make the leap from regular season to playoffs. Seven teams from each conference will take part in the postseason, with the No. 1 seed in each conference being the only sides to earn a bye week during the wild-card round.

Once more, the NFL postseason has been shifted back a week from its former post. In 2021, the league decided on implementing a 17-game schedule. The practice has since continued in 2022 and 2023, pushing the Super Bowl back to the second Sunday in February rather than the first.

How to watch NFL playoff games on TV, live stream
