Who do Buccaneers play next? Tamp Bay's divisional round opponent set in 2024 NFL playoff bracket image

The Buccaneers hosted the Eagles on Monday night in the final contest of the wild-card round, and Tampa Bay dominated from start to finish.

Baker Mayfield led the Bucs to a win over the defending NFC champions. From practically start to finish, Tampa Bay controlled the game, eventually resulting in a 32-9 victory.

No Tom Brady? No problem for the Buccaneers. With the legendary quarterback officially hanging up the cleats after last year, Tampa Bay turned to Baker Mayfield to be QB1 for Todd Bowles' crew. It's a move that paid off, as the Buccaneers won six out of their past seven games in the regular season, taking the NFC South with a victory over the Panthers in Week 18.

Having already well surpassed preseason expectations, the Bucs get another chance to prove the doubters wrong, as Mayfield and Co. hit the road for the divisional round?

Here's a look at who the Buccaneers will face in the divisional round.

Who will the Eagles or Buccaneers play in the divisional round?

Even before Tampa Bay and Philadelphia took the field Sunday night, the next opponent was known.

With the Bucs as the No. 4 seed, they are the third-highest seed still alive in the playoffs. Here is who that team is:

No. 4 Buccaneers at No. 3 Lions

With Dallas losing to Green Bay, that means the Packers are the lowest seed still alive in the NFC, setting up a divisional matchup against the 49ers. With Detroit defeating Los Angeles, it leaves the Lions as the second-highest seed still alive in the conference.

That meant that the winner of the Buccaneers-Eagles matchup would advance to take on Dan Campbell's unit. The game will be played at Ford Field in Detroit for the divisional round.
