The Chiefs and Dolphins made history during their NFL playoff game on Saturday as Kansas City battled to a 26-7 victory.
It wasn't because of anything the two teams did on the field, however. It was all about the way that the game was presented to audiences across the country.
Saturday night's playoff game was the first ever broadcast exclusively on a streaming service. Peacock, NBC's streaming service, showcased the game as a part of the network's broadcasting rights agreement with the NFL.

Naturally, the game faced some obstacles. Some were annoyed that they would have to pay extra to access a game that would normally be broadcast on network television; others were worried about figuring out how to access the game; many were worried about potential buffering issues with the service during the broadcast.
For the most part, NFL fans enjoyed poking fun at the first-ever broadcast event. Many were focused on the older crowd attempting to access the contest while others joked about the money that NBC could make off those who forget to cancel their subscriptions.
Below are some of the best reactions to the Peacock game.
This is hell, although not as bad as trying to get your parent on Peacock to watch the NFL. pic.twitter.com/2AkVdM4BZ9

Peacock having Oppenheimer is like the Angels current roster with Mike Trout.

Of course, that didn't stop people from complaining entirely about the broadcast. Many users were displeased by the quality of the stream, which sometimes had a grayish hue and wasn't always aligned properly with the audio.

Meanwhile, others — like ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio — complained about those who took issue with Peacock being awarded the game.
If fans want to complain about the game being on Peacock, fine. If media members whose content is trapped behind a paywall want to complain, they should think about that one.

So, it appears that Peacock still has some issues to iron out with its live NFL broadcasts.
The good news for NFL fans? The Chiefs-Dolphins game was the last Peacock exclusive contest of the season. So, fans can cancel their one-month subscription and not worry about getting it again until next season.
