Criss Angel, you're on the clock.

Things got weird during Round 1 of the 2022 NFL Draft. There were a lot of trades, including one involving A.J. Brown, and there was a literal Strange pick toward the tail end of the round.

Things got even weirder to start Round 2. World-famous illusionist Criss Angel got the night started with an incredibly bizarre act: Angel was suspended upside down in a straitjacket, which he escaped while spinning around really, really fast, or something.

Take a look for yourself:

In the spirit of the draft, a quick scouting report:

Criss Angel | Projection: Day 3 (Round 6)

Pros:

  • Good escapability.
  • Keeps the opponent guessing.
  • Magician with the ball in his hands.

Cons:

  • Character concerns (once made a teammate disappear).
  • Tends to disappear in big games.
  • Limited athletic ability, but some say he levitates to high-point the ball.

Summary: Gritty and undersized, with character concerns. Good in a trick offense.

The NFL viewing public took in Angel's performance and responded as only the NFL world can:

The Buccaneers kicked off Round 2 soon after by selecting defensive tackle Logan Hall with the 33rd overall pick. Unfortunately, it wasn't Criss Angel, so the pick is an F.

Maybe the Cardinals can teach Angel how to make first-round picks disappear.
