There will be 259 selections in the 2023 NFL Draft, and two teams will make nearly 10 percent of those picks.
As it goes, more darts at the board is only a benefit for the NFL Draft, which has developed a reputation for being nothing more than a crapshoot. That said, some teams are have more selections, which makes for more lotto tickets.
The Texans and Raiders both have more picks than any other NFL team heading into draft season, with both teams carrying a dozen picks apiece. The Texans are sitting especially pretty, with two first-round selections, including the No. 2 overall pick.
The Raiders aren't quite as fortuitous with their selections, but do have a top-10 selection once the first round rolls in on April 27. That should net them a true blue-chip prospect, potentially even a passer of the future, if that's the direction they choose to go.
