This story has been updated.

The Cardinals' struggling offense suffered a hit to its wide receiver depth on Sunday after Marquise "Hollywood" Brown exited the game with a foot injury.

Brown was injured in the fourth quarter when the 5-9 Brown was unable to beat 6-4 cornerback Tariq Woolen of the Seahawks to a Kyler Murray pass.

Woolen grabbed the interception, appearing to land on Brown's leg in the process.

Brown did not return to the game, finishing with five catches for 68 yards in the 19-9 loss. Following the game, Brown told reporters that X-rays came back negative — a positive sign for his health moving forward.

With that, The Sporting News looks at Brown's injury status and how long he is out heading into the remainder of the season:

How long is Marquise Brown out?

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported early Monday morning that Brown's injury was potentially season-ending:

Schefter provided the caveat that Brown is still undergoing testing, at which point a more concrete diagnosis likely will be determined. If he is out for the remainder of the season, he will miss out on 11 games.

Later, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reported Brown had suffered a small fracture that wouldn't require surgery to repair. He is reportedly out six weeks.

Assuming the six-week recovery time is accurate, Brown would return in Week 14 for "Monday Night Football" against the Patriots. That game follows a bye week, which would give Brown an extra seven days to fully recover from his injury.

Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury on Wednesday told reporters Brown is out indefinitely and will miss at least a month. Per Schefter:

As of the time of his injury, Brown led all Cardinals receivers with 43 receptions for 485 yards and three scores.

Cardinals WR depth chart

Brown is out for at least the foreseeable future, but the Cardinals still have plenty of depth among their receiving corps. That's thanks to the timely return of DeAndre Hopkins, who will return from suspension for the first time in Week 7.

The team also traded for Panthers receiver Robbie Anderson, a potential indicator of Brown's long-term status. Here's how the wide receiver depth chart looks heading into the remainder of the season, not including tight end Zach Ertz, who is second on the team in targets (51), catches (35) and receiving yards (299).

Player Place on depth chart
DeAndre Hopkins 1
Greg Dortch 2
Robbie Anderson 3
Rondale Moore 4
Marquise Brown 5 (injured)
