Marlon Humphrey calls Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles bowing to Rebeca Andrade in Olympics photo 'literally disgusting' image

Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles created one of the lasting memories from the 2024 Olympics when they bowed to Brazil's Rebeca Andrade on the podium after the women's gymnastics floor exercise finals.

Andrade won Brazil's first-ever gymnastics gold medal in the floor finals, besting Biles by 0.033 to close out the competition.

The two USA gymnasts then plotted to honor Andrade — with whom they are friendly — by bowing to her.

The gesture of sportsmanship and camaraderie between the top competitors received near-universal praise. However, Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey had a different take on the moment.

Humphrey re-posted the picture on X (formerly Twitter) and referred to it as "literally disgusting."

Humphrey didn't clarify his comments, leaving gymnastics fans to wonder exactly what he found "disgusting" about the moment. It seemed he was upset the United States athletes were celebrating an opponent who had defeated them in competition.

What Humphrey likely doesn't know is that Biles and Andrade share a mutual respect and have competed against one another for more than a decade. Biles reached out to Andrade to encourage her after one of her three ACL tears and Andrade has expressed a desire to continue competing against the USA star even as retirement rumors have swirled around the 27-year-old.

Andrade had also given Biles a run for her money across several events at the 2024 Olympics, so the gesture was a means of congratulating the 25-year-old for achieving one of her top goals.

Many on social media communicated this to Humphrey and disavowed his message, which they felt was not very sporting.

Humphrey acknowledged that he was "lowkey getting cooked" in a post 10 hours after his original comment.

Humphrey figures to be "cussed out" plenty more in Portuguese — the official language of Brazil — as his post continues to make the rounds.
