For the first time since Super Bowl 39, Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will not be on the call as Fox's No. 1 broadcast team.
That assignment instead will be handled by the new tandem of Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen, calling their first Super Bowl together. The two have received praise in their chemistry as Fox's top broadcast announcers, likely because they were both promoted from the No. 2 team to replace Buck and Aikman.
Former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will eventually throw a wrench into the pairing when he takes over analyst duties from Olsen in 2024. Considering Fox has paid Brady an astounding $375 million over 10 years, it's likely Olsen will once again be relegated to the team's No. 2 announcing team.

Burkhardt, however, will remain a constant in the booth alongside Brady. The long-time Fox announcer has yielded an impressive return on investment for Fox, generating favorable reviews at a fraction of the cost it would have taken to retain Buck in the same role.
With that, The Sporting News looks at Burkhardt's salary and contract details with Fox, as well as his net worth:

Kevin Burkhardt's salary
Fox has not released details as to the worth of Burkhardt's contract with the network. However, Andrew Marchand of The New York Post reported on March 11, 2022 that he and analyst Greg Olsen — who at the time comprised Fox's No. 2 announcing team — would make between $3 million and $4 million combined if both were promoted. Marchand reported Olsen earned $1.7 million in 2021.
Fox released Buck from the final year of his contract with the network, valued at $10 million. It would have taken Fox $12 million to retain him, though he opted instead to reunite with Aikman on ESPN.

In a separate story breaking Burkhardt's promotion to Fox's No. 1 play-by-play announcer, Marchand reported only that he and Fox were agreeing to terms on a "long-term contract." Details were not available, including salary or length of contract.

Kevin Burkhardt's net worth
Multiple outlets report Burkhardt's worth to be in the $1 million to $5 million range. That is based on his extensive broadcasting career, which has seen him serve multiple roles since joining the Fox network in 2013.
He joined Fox that year as an NFL play-by-play announcer on the network's No. 4 broadcast team. In 2014, he became studio host of Fox's MLB postseason coverage. Prior to joining Fox, he called NFL games nationally for Compass Media and for the Cowboys from in 2011 and 2012.
Burkhardt also had a notable stint as a New York Mets field reporter for SportsNet New York (SNY), starting in 2007. That role gradually expanded as he took on play-by-play duties for spring training and select regular season games. He also hosted pre- and postgame shows as well as various Fox programs.
